Mackenzie and I just got back from her preschool open house. She had a blast. It was only a half hour long but they got to know the routine a little. They had to go in and drop off backpacks, go out in the hall to wash their hands, then go back in and sit on the rug to sing their welcome song and Ms. Kristy read them the Kissing Hand. That book is so cute. Then they were told how to make their placemats they'll be using for snack time and they went over their shapes. Mackenzie got picked to go up and show Ms. Kristy which shape was the square. She wasn't nervous at all. I'm so glad I was brave enough to let her go. She'll do so good this year. After they glued their names and shapes to their placemats they turned them in and got a sticker and a treat. Then, it was time to go home. She can't wait till tomorrow when she actually gets to play with her friends. Anastasia was so cute about it this morning she had to wear her matching dress and she wanted to walk Mackenzie to her school but I couldn't let her. Anastasia's school starts earlier. She was so excited for her sister. I know she'll be excited when she gets out of school just to ask Kenz how it went and what she did.
